  According to the study of AICTE, UGC regulations, they both follow the same requirements for an MBA institution. A megacity can be a single metropolitan area or two or more metropolitan areas that converge.    ** = A metropolitan area, sometimes referred to as a metro area or commuter belt, is a region consisting of a densely populated urban core and its less-populated surrounding territories, sharing industry, infrastructure, and housing. EG: Ahmedabad, Surat, Pune, Bengaluru etc..    *** = Core boundary of the city. Eg: AMU in Ahmedabad    **** = In general, a rural area or countryside is a geographic area that is located outside towns and cities Intake of students per course is 60 & the course is of three years. Minimum requirement of area in SQ. MT. The built up area is divided into 3 parts: 1.   Instructional Area (INA) 1.)   Class room area = 3 number of divisions/4 = 3(6)/4 = 4.5 = 5 classrooms for one year For three years 3(5) = 15 classrooms  Now, area for one classroom given in the norms = 66 For 15 classroom, 15(66) = 990 2.)   Tutorial room area = number of tutorial room per year = 1 & its area =33 area of tutorial room = 33 x 3 = 99 3.)   Computer Centre area = 1 x 150 4.)   Library area = 1 x 100 5.)   Seminar hall = 2 x 480 = 960 Total = 2299 SQ. MTS.  2.   Administrative Area (ADA) 1.)   Principal Office area = 30 2.)   Board Room = 20 3.)   Office all inclusive = 150 4.)   Department Offices = 20 5.)   Cabin For HOD = 6 x 10 = 60 6.)   Faculty Rooms = 12 (no. of faculty) x 5 (area as per norms) = 60 7.)   Central Store = 30 8.)   Maintenance Room = 10 9.)   Security Cabin = 10 10.)   House Keeping = 10 11.)   Pantry For Faculties = 10 12.)   Examination control office = 30 13.)   Placement Office = 30 Total = 470 SQ. Total Built up Area = 9119 SQ. MTS. As per open /vs built ratio (60:40) Total open area = 13,678.5 SQ. MTS. TOTAL PLOT AREA SHOULD BE = 10,000 SQ. MTS. Maximum Ground coverage = 40  –   45% FSI = 1.5, G+2 is permitted. Note: The built up area mentioned is minimum, one can modify according to his/her design requirement with proper justification.
