  • 2010: 127ha of Achacrossan Forest bought through the National Forest Land Scheme (NFLS) £130,000 raised via Highlands & Islands Enterprise (£65K), KCFC director interest free loan (£35K), community fund raising & donations (£25K)
  • 2010: First stage of Climate Challenge Fund funded infrastructure begins
  • 2011: Second stage of Climate Challenge funded infrastructure begins & new development officer recruited
  • 2012: Climate Challenge work completed & Phase 3 work to begin
  • 2015:Option for KCFC to buy remaining share of Achrasson Forest (325ha) from the Forestry Commission by 2015
