Ltd to conduct a fire safety audit and to recommend Fire Safety strategy for the existing Hospital Building I & II, Yangon. The audit findings and recommendations will be submitted to the Management of ARH for the implementation and enhancing of the Fire Safety to the best possible remedies. And it is not meant for the regulatory authorities for any approval. As the properties are the existing building which is in full operation as a healthcare occupancy which is not a purpose-built for this usage, the options of the recommendation to improve the fire safety aspects are limited. Nevertheless, with our utmost and practical knowledge and experience, we would advise the clients to make the buildings fire-safe to the maximum. Asset and property protection have not been considered within the scope of this report. The New ARH III is not included within the scope of this report beyond that of design considerations that directly impact upon the inter-related surrounding Project structures. 1.2 Challenges Being the existing buildings, there are several areas where strict code compliance is impractical. These items are discussed throughout this report and are summarized. 1.3 Documentation referenced In conjunction with site visit this report is based upon a review of the current plans of the hospital issued by (drawings dated 11/07/2014).  FIRE SAFETY AUDIT FOR THE EXISTING ASIA ROYAL HOSPITAL I & II   2017   OKCE  Page 3 2.   Site Description 2.1 Overview The ARH (I & II) is located at14 BAHO STREET SANCHAUNG TOWNSHIP, YANGON. The site contains 2 nos. of existing buildings. A new   development ARH III is  being constructed next to the existing buildings and will be connected through a link- bridge when completed. The ARH III is not included within the scope of this report. However, it is advised that fire command centre is to be integrated for the whole old and new ARH into 1 for more effective and practical. Extra-care should be taken when interfacing old building with new facility with different protection systems.
