Memoir In Immanence Part 4
IN IMMANENCE, YOUR THINKING IS ABSOLUTE BALDERDASH The mornings, homeless, at the neoliberal University of Cape Town were the worst. Not only does the space fill to the brim with students aggravated from the outset by the need to find parking and the inevitable pay-off of a traffic fine against handing in and being on Helize and I during the July time, the university had also set the 2017 SIT TESOL course at hounds of still to be lived hell on Nelson Mandela University,  me. which she paid for, and which ultimately helped me to  I needed to keep my phone on. escape, hell on earth.  There was hope for me from the phone and the email. And indeed, the woman in the picture, my friend, my Literary Theory lecturer at Nelson Mandela University, and Distinguished Professor of Literature, Helize van Vuuren, eventually saved me from the flammable purple liquid I was then thinking about more than from time-to-time, with just one phone call and an email; that I did not even ask for. But damn the little wicked god you actually believe in to hell I will, will, not rush this. Going through the emails for lived experiential data I can only say that Professor John Higgins is such a good human being, too. A kind man and caring amongst people who have become so selfish they have begun to devour the very Self they rest on.  Fucking Vicious. That is the only possible way I can think of to describe the incessant emails and the much more incessant phone calls I received from Fairbridges Attorneys that the neoliberal University of Cape Town had set on me. Interesting name that: ‘ fair ’   ‘ bridges ’ . Ha! There are a welter of standard emails but I wish more than anything that I could access the phone records to show how intense these people were with me during and after the Fees Must Fall protests that rocked the country to a near 68 ’ . The main antagonist was a woman named Thembisa Lepile of Fairbridges who I think truly believed that I, a white boy, had the money but just didn ’ t want to pay. No. I did not. I and my +1 were homeless for longer than I could ever write about. Always race over class; a legerdemain, always. Anyways, much much more to follow but let me leave off with one of a hundred standard emails, amongst so few, that I received much less frequently than their daily phone calls, because, my thesis, my will, was a little good with lived experience and therefore, Professor Michael Chapman ’ s ‘ Masters pipeline be damned ’  a little late, in the offering: Thembisa Lepile <>  May 4, 2017, 3:17 AM to me 2017/05/04 Dear Warren   We refer to the above matter and wish to advise that the balance outstanding amounts to R20 052.51, to which amount further interest, costs and collection commission must be added to date of final payment.
