  • 3. What have I enjoyed most about my educational experience? Looking back over the last 2 years, what I enjoyed most about my educational experience is the support from my professors. My professors have shown me that each of us have different strengths, and from those come different challenges. I found math intimidating yet, that doesn’t mean that I cannot conquer my career. I was shown that it’s okay, and quite normal, to find some things easier than others, and some things harder. A part of my future life’s project, is to figure out and play to my strengths, I have them, and with my professors I have found them. How to Learn Essay: “To come full circle, this has been one of many college experiences which have been enriching for myself. I no longer have an uneasiness regarding any type of course I take, or how the courses are offered, classroom or online. My experiences through my prior learning, and with how I was taught cannot compare to how the classroom is today, no matter what that setting might be. My experiences through my classes have developed my ability to “learn how to learn.”

  • 5. How I have grown academically? I have grown academically by first finding a balance with establishing my academic goals. Each semester I set goals for myself to achieve. Every semester the goals changed, whether it was grade point average, or tackling writing, I chose goals that were a bit of a stretch and I not only strived to achieve them, I also celebrated conquering them. I have continuously been on the Dean’s List since my first semester, something I’m proud of and have worked hard for. Secondly, I have grown academically by taking advantage of attending the CWI workshops for stress relief, managing time, and proper note taking which I have found all very beneficial. The note taking helped me to prepare for a large essay in my Anthropology class last semester which ended up becoming 30 pages. This has all helped me grow academically. Anthropology-260 Signature Assignment Essay Professor Gorrell Fall 2018

  • 7. How have you grown personally? Personally I have grown by further gaining a better understanding of myself. I have found my motivations, strengthened my weaknesses, and found my passion for my future. With these, I have fully grown as an individual and will continue to grow. I found this connection from my Sociology classes. Make Connections Essay: “My Sociology classes were not just lessons, they carried a semester of views with perspectives, analysis, and opinions of the world, past and present. I have been amazed by the level of professionalism and intellect given by my professors within their programs of study. My curriculum choices have not only been memorable, they have allowed me to grow as a person, and the connections I have made are ones which I can carry into my future.”

  • 9. How has your education prepared you for the future? My education from CWI has prepared me for the future by giving me structure and the education I need to perform in my intended future studies and career. I have broadened my knowledge working in a collaborative environment, molded my abilities in research writing, and have expanded my knowledge to effectively communicate. Research and Writing/Advanced Writing Course: “Political cartoons are not simply for entertainment; they provide political direction. Nast affected the public’s personal views by using his sketches as a powerful statement. Thomas Nast's, cartoons had an influence on New York politics by effectively using satire and caricatures to hold William M. Tweed (Boss Tweed) and Tammany Hall accountable as corrupt political bosses in Gilded Age New York. Cartoonist Thomas Nast’s, pen was the weapon used to force corrupt political bosses into prison.” Hist-190 Intro to the Study of History Professor Jayne Spring 2019
  • 10. Finding my strengths Balance My educational journey here at CWI has allowed me to grow both academically and personally. I am looking forward to the future to continue my education and to further continue my growth. Understanding myself Structure and Goal Setting

  • 12. Reflection on my Presentation For this presentation I tried a different way to present my idea by using Google slides for the first time. Regarding this presentation, I am pleased with how I had an idea and I was able to accomplish it by implementing it into a new type of slide presentation. My most challenging aspect of creating this presentation is the fact that this is only the second presentation I’ve made. Making this presentation was a little intimidating for me, but I believe that I was successful in creating my idea and accomplishing it.
