The aim of the conference is to strengthen relationships between practicing engineers, researchers and scientists in the Nordic region within the fields of geotechnics and engineering geology. You are cordially invited to share your experience and knowledge with your Nordic colleagues. Almost 100 papers have been received, covering 9 topics, and approximately half of these will be  presented during the meeting. We have also invited two keynote speakers, Dr. Brian Simpson and Professor Paul Mayne, to give presentations. All presentations are included in this publication and are available in digital format on a USB stick. We are very grateful to the authors of the papers and to the reviewers for their work. The organising committee would like to thank all who have contributed to the meeting: authors, reviewers, presenters, chairmen and the members of the Danish Geotechnical Society who have helped arrange the social events.
